Request for Proposals: Part Time Accounting and Human Resources Services

The TJPDC is seeking a part-time accounting consulting service to perform accounting, payroll and human resource services. The TJPDC requires an on-site person with governmental and accrual accounting or bookkeeping experience for approximately 20 hours per week. A Certified Public Accountant is preferred.

Legislative Update – January 31, 2018

The House and Senate money committees have about two-and-a-half weeks until their amendments to the proposed biennial budget are due. What remains uncertain is the approach the House and Senate will take on expanding health care coverage. Then-governor Terry McAuliffe’s introduced budget estimated savings of more than $420 million from expanding Medicaid coverage. Failure to expand coverage results in a budget hole that would have to be filled with other spending reductions.
