After each Program Year ending June 30, the City and the Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission (TJPDC) invite public comment on the Draft Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER). The CAPER is a required document describing the use of federal funds for housing and community development projects during the program year, to be submitted to HUD by September 28. The draft CAPER is available here for review and comment from August 31 – September 14.
The City of Charlottesville is also beginning to determine how to spend its federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships funding for FY 2019-2020. It is expected that Charlottesville will receive about $408,417 in CDBG funding in FY 2019-2020 to be used for activities that benefit low and moderate-income persons. It is also expected that the City will receive $78,000 in HOME funds that are to be used to expand the supply of decent, safe, and affordable housing for low and moderate-income persons.
Interested parties may direct questions and comments regarding the draft CAPER to Tierra Howard, City Hall, 434-970-3093, firstname.lastname@example.org or Billie Campbell, TJDPC, 434-422-4822, email@example.com.
