The Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission will be applying for FFY20 Funding through USDA Rural Housing Service for the Housing Preservation Grant (HPG). If awarded, the grant will provide funding for emergency repairs, rehabilitation, and home safety modifications for very low-income rural homeowners in Albemarle, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa and Nelson counties. TJPDC’s application is based on $161,485.20 which is half of the expected state allocation of $322,970.39.

TJPDC expects to serve 35 very low-income households (estimate of 50 people) with the FFY20 grant, if awarded.  A Statement of Activities is available here, with comments accepted until May 7.
