1 1:00-1:05 Matters from the Public and Committee Response:

Members of the public are welcome to provide comment on any public interest,
transportation-related topic, including the items listed on this agenda.
Limit 3 minutes per speaker.

2 1:05-1:10 Approval of the Minutes(*):

3 1:10-1:15 Updates and Discussion:

Attendees are invited to share briefly about current planning and transportation related activities in their locality or agency. There will also be an update on the MPO.

4 1:15-1:30 Update on House Bill 2:

The Committee will discuss the recent HB2 applications, submitted September 30th. There will be an overview of next steps and follow-up tasks. The Committee will also provide any additional feedback on the process, to be forwarded to the Commission.

5 1:30-1:45 RLRP Online Survey:

Staff drafted an online survey, which will go to local Planning Commissions, elected officials and staff. The questions are based on feedback from the RTAC’s September meeting. The Committee will provide additional guidance, before staff begins to distribute the survey.

6 1:45-2:05 RLRP Needs Assessment – Safety:

Staff will provide a brief PowerPoint presentation on the transportation conditions in the Rural Programming area. This first presentation will focus on safety, with subsequent meetings focusing on different topics, such as congestion, economic development, transit, etc.

7 2:05-2:25 Regional Bike and Pedestrian Plan:

Staff recently scoped work on an update to the 2004 Jefferson Area Bike and Pedestrian Plan. This work was originally going to occur in FY17, but staff felt it would make more sense to develop this plan in tandem with the RLRP. The Committee will review the project scope and discussion how best to coordinate the two documents.

The Committee will discuss items requiring follow-up action and any other business.
