Funding Options Working Group

Due to severe statewide budget constraints and the need to expedite implementation of regional transportation projects, the MPO has convened a small working group of interested stakeholders to explore alternative sources of funding. This group has been tasked with researching and analyzing all feasible options and submitting a recommendation to the MPO in the spring, which could possibly include the creation of a transportation district. In looking at a transportation district, this group will focus on potential funding mechanisms and priority projects to include on the funding list. The priority projects developed will be a short list developed from regional transportation projects in UnJAM 2025 and those prioritized in the FY05 Transportation Improvement Program and the FY06 Six-Year Improvement Program Pre-Allocation Statement (259 KB) .
