Members of the public are welcome to provide comment on any public interest, transportation-related topic, including the items listed on this agenda. Limit 3 minutes per speaker.
|2||1:05-1:08||Approval of the Minutes (*):
The Committee will review and approve minutes from the January 17th, 2016 meeting.
|3||1:08-1:20||Updates and Discussion:
Attendees are invited to share briefly about current planning and transportation related activities in their locality or agency.
|4||1:20-1:30||FY18 Rural Transportation Work Program
The Commission must approve the FY18 Rural Transportation Work Program at their April 6th meeting, in order to secure State Planning and Research (SPR) program funds. The Committee discussed this item at their January meeting and staff developed the work plan around those Committee comments.
|5||1:30-1:50||Rural Long Range Plan:
TJPDC staff will provide a brief presentation on the draft road project lists. Staff will also provide an update on the RLRP scope of work, clarifying deliverables for the end of FY17. This discussion will include a short work session on finalizing the project lists.
|6||1:50-2:10||Bike and Pedestrian Plan:
Staff will provide an update on the Bike and Pedestrian Plan, holding a work session for identifying goals, objectives and focus areas.
|7||2:10-2:20||STARS Workshop Update:
On Monday, March 20th, VDOT Culpeper staff met with Kimley-Horn for a Strategically Targeted Affordable Roadway Solutions (STARS) workshop. The Committee will discuss potential STARS projects in the TJPDC area.
|8||2:20-2:25||Action Items & Other Business:
The Committee will discuss items requiring follow-up action and any other business.
