The TJPD Commission met on November 2 and took the following actions:
–Approved the TJPDC’s FY23 Financial Audit.
–Endorsed TJPDC’s work on a Direct to Partner Initiative (D2PI) for the Septic Well Assistance Program (SWAP) via a cooperative agreement with the Virginia Department of Health; the program provides financial assistance to low-income homeowners for septic system and well repairs and replacements.
–Endorsed TJPDC providing support and assistance to the Town of Mineral’s update to its Comprehensive Plan.
–Approved a letter of support for Greene County for a FEMA Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities Grant.
–Approved a resolution of support for additional state funding for Planning District Commissions to be included in the FY25/26 state budget.
The Commission will meet again on Thursday, December 7th at 7:00 pm.
