CDBG AND HOME DRAFT CAPER FOR FY2020-2021

AND PRIORITY SETTING FOR FY 2021-2022
The City and the Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission (TJPDC) invite public comment on the Draft 2020-2021 Consolidated Annual Performance Evaluation Report (CAPER). The CAPER is a required document describing the use of federal funds for housing and community development projects to be submitted to HUD by September 29, 2021. The draft CAPER will be available for review and comment from August 17 – September 15, 2021, online at tjpdc.org, at charlottesville.gov, and copies mailed upon request.
The City of Charlottesville is beginning to determine how to spend its federal HOME Investment Partnerships funding for FY 2022-2023. It is expected that the City will receive $80,594 in HOME funds that are to be used to expand the supply of decent, safe, and affordable housing for low-and-moderate income persons.

The TJPDC will hold a public hearing virtually over zoom on September 2, 2021, at 7:00 pm. The Charlottesville City Council will have a virtual public hearing meeting on September 20, 2021, where comments will be addressed.
