CEDS Plan Approved by EDA

TJPDC  is pleased to announce the release of its Comprehensive Economic Development Plan (CEDS).

The plan was funded through a  U.S. EDA Economic Adjustment Assistance grant to develop a regional Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) plan to benefit all TJPDC localities.  A CEDS is meant to integrate with and complement other economic development plans. Rather than being “owned” by any one agency, a CEDS consists of plans of action that may be undertaken by multiple players. The approval of this plan also opens up additional federal funding opportunities.

This plan was done in collaboration with  Rappahannock-Rapidan Regional Commission, the GO Virginia Region 9 Council, and regional stakeholders, and provides a super regional perspective of shared opportunities and strategies.
