The CVRHP hosted its second webinar of their Winter/Spring 2024 Speaker Series on February 14th focusing on the Virginia Zoning Atlas. Housing Forward Virginia (HFV) has unveiled their Virginia Zoning Atlas interactive map, offering deep insights into the intricacies of land use policies in the Hampton Roads region. During this presentation, Eric Mai, co-executive director of HousingForward Virginia, discussed the development of the Atlas and the implications of its use for local and regional planning.
HFV plans to expand the atlas to include other regions, with further developments in Northern Virginia, Richmond, and Petersburg. This tool promises to empower communities to navigate zoning policies and shape the future of housing and development in Virginia.
Join the CVRHP for its final presentation of the Winter/Spring 2024 Speaker Series by the Preservation of Affordable Housing (POAH) team to discuss its role as developers for their respective organizations, its approach to development and how they came together to respond one of the RFP’s issued through UVA’s Affordable Housing Initiative – Wertland & 10th St.
