The TJPD Commission met on October 3 and addressed the following topics:
- Blue Ridge Cigarette Tax Board six-month presentation/update
- Partnership for Accessible Transportation Help (PATH) presentation
- FY26 Draft Budget approved
- TJPDC Local Contributions–presentation of options for increasing funding for six agency programs that receive additional local dollars outside the per capita funding paid by each member locality; the Commission approved 1) converting local funding for these programs to per capita rates moving forward; 2) a recommendation that TJPDC request up to a 7% increase from the member localities for these programs for FY26; and 3) a recommendation to project local contributions every five years.
