ADA and Title VI

ADA Public Notice: In accordance with requirements of Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA), the Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission will not discriminate against qualified individuals with disabilities on the basis of disability in its services, programs, or activities. Title VI Public Notice: The Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission (TJPDC) fully complies with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and related statutes, executive orders, and regulations in all programs and activities and assigns these responsibilities for compliance to the TJPDC as appropriate. The TJPDC operates without regard to race, color, national origin, income, gender, age, and disability. Any person who believes themselves or any specific class of persons, to be subjected to discrimination prohibited by Title VI may by themself/themselves or by representative file a written complaint with the TJPDC’s designated Title VI Coordinator. A complaint must be fled no later than 180 days after the date of the alleged discrimination. The TJPDC meetings are conducted in accessible locations and materials can be provided in accessible formats and in languages other than English. If you wish to attend a TJPDC function and require special accommodations, please give the TJPDC 48 hours’ notice.
