Logan Ende, Regional Planner
Logan joined the PDC in January. He earned a B.S. in Environment Science at UVA, and then a Master’s in Urban and Environmental Planning, also from UVA. Logan works on both housing and transportation projects, including the Housing Preservation Grant and Smart Scale.
Q: What led you to work at the TJPDC?
A: I went back to graduate school for my Master’s in Urban + Environmental Planning at UVA as a way to make more practical use of my interest in environmental science. While I was there, I realized that planning as a field was well suited to me and I wanted to try my hand as a planner. I think the role of a planner is incredibly important in its own, behind-the-scenes way, and I figured there was no better place to work as a planner than Charlottesville, where I have spent essentially my entire adult life. I am very happy to be working with the TJPDC across all its localities!
Q: What is a fun fact that you would like to share?
A: I am a big fan of literature in general, and though I have not read nearly enough to be an expert on anything, I love reading and talking about what other people have written particularly poems. I also am trying to write a book of poetry, which so far is not very good but I have enjoyed the process of it! I have a very active imagination so I like that writing things can put that to some use.
