The Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission invites all interested citizens to comment on the proposed Statement of Activities to be submitted as the pre-application for FFY25 Housing Preservation Grant funds.
The USDA Rural Development Housing Preservation Grant allows the TJPDC region to provide critical repairs to homes of low- and extremely low-income rural homeowners. The application describes how the participating jurisdiction intends to use such grant funds. For FFY 2025, TJPDC is applying for $271,593, though the TJPDC can only be awarded up to half that amount if there are other eligible applicants. With our subrecipients, Fluvanna Louisa Housing Foundation, NCCDF, AHIP, and Skyline CAP, we are able to serve 30-40 households per year through the HPG funding.
Input regarding this year’s application will help inform administrators and subrecipients of the grant about community needs. The public comment period begins on August 18th, 2025, when the Statement of Activities will be available for review on the TJPDC website.
Contact Logan Ende at lende@tjpdc.org with questions or comments.
The public comment period closes on September 4th, 2025.
