The 2026 TJPD Legislative Program has been approved by the six local governing bodies in the region. The Program has three top legislative priorities (Public Education Funding, Budgets and Funding, and Land Use and Growth Management), along with legislative positions in a number of other areas of interest to local governments. With input from the local governing bodies, a regional legislative program is developed and approved each year in advance of the upcoming Virginia General Assembly session.
