The TJPD Commission met on November 6, with the following items on the agenda:
- The FY25 Annual Financial Audit report was presented to both the Finance/Executive Committee and to the Commission. TJPDC had a “clean” audit for FY25 and the Audit report was accepted.
- Several changes to the agency Financial Management Policy, including those to clearly stipulate how payroll is processed, were presented and approved.
- The Commission accepted a Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) grant for regional water supply planning and authorized the Executive Director to take all action necessary to manage the agreement.
- The Commission approved 2025 CDBG Regional Priorities of Economic Development, Infrastructure, and Housing for submission to the Department of Housing and Community Development.
- The Commission, following a brief presentation, authorized signing of a letter formally requesting the dissolution of the Regional Transit Partnership (RTP); authorized signing of a necessary RTP Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) amendment; and authorized the Executive Director to sign a new Charlottesville-Albemarle Regional Transit Authority (CARTA) MOU.
- The Commission adopted a “Resolution Commending the Jefferson Area Regional Transit Partnership and its Chair, Diantha McKeel.”
