The TJPD Commission met on September 3, with the following items on the agenda:
- The Commission appointed City Councilor Jen Fleisher as a TJPDC representative to the Central Virginia Regional Housing Partnership and Supervisor Tony O’Brien as the Fluvanna representative to the TJPDC Corporation.
- Joe Klodzinski presented a six-month update on the Virginia Telecommunications Initiative (VATI); work on the VATI 2022 project is expected to wrap up late this year or early in 2027.
- Isabella O’Brien provided the annual program and funding update on the Watershed Implementation Program.
- Laurie Jean Talun presented the HOME and Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER). Following a public hearing, the Commission adopted the HOME-CDBG CAPER.
- A public hearing was held on the Solid Waste Management Plan, which will be up for adoption at the October meeting.
- Christine Jacobs presented the Housing Preservation Grant (HPG) Pre-Application Statement of Activities and Intergovernmental Reviews. Following a public hearing, resolutions of IGR and project support for HPG grants were adopted.
- Christine Jacobs presented the draft FY28 Projected Operating Budget, which will be up for adoption at the October meeting.
