Upcoming Workshop: Future of the Route 20 Shared Use Path Smart Scale project

TJPDC is hosting a public workshop on the Future of the Route 20 Shared Use Path Smart Scale project on June 25th at 6:30pm. On June 17th, the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors declined to provide a resolution of support for the project as described in the Charlottesville-Albemarle MPO’s pre-application. Consequently, the project will not be submitted as a full application this year. Nonetheless, the Board of Supervisors expressed interest in a future Smart Scale application that creates a bicycle and pedestrian connection from City of Charlottesville to Monticello and the Piedmont Virginia Community College.

Thursday night’s meeting will describe the process TJPDC/CAMPO might follow if it submits a new Smart Scale application for this bicycle and pedestrian connection in 2022. The webinar will allow time for questions and comments from the public.

The workshop will be recorded and available for public viewing on the TJPDC website. Please contact Jessica Hersh-Ballering, Transportation Planner at TJPDC (jballering@tjpdc.org) with your questions or comments.
