ABOUT
The Central Virginia Regional Housing Partnership facilitates regional coordination to ensure access to housing for all. The Regional Housing Partnership (RHP) serves as an official advisory board, created by the Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission, in partnership with the public, private, nonprofit, and citizen stakeholders.
Composed of an overarching consortium of housing interests, the Partnership enhances regional coordination and effectiveness to address the housing needs of the Thomas Jefferson Planning District’s region, with a focus on housing production, diversity, accessibility, cost, location, design, and increasing stability for the region’s residents.
OUTCOMES
The CVRHP aims to provide stakeholders a venue to coordinate affordable housing efforts, access resources to develop and maintain affordable housing, and research innovative and effective strategies for use across the planning district. Outcomes will include:
- Localities, builders, and nonprofits have abundant access to tools, models, and resources to support and increase affordable housing options in their communities
- Local government, Nonprofit Agencies, Community, businesses consistently engage to share ideas and collaborate on productive local and regional housing initiatives
- Real-time data/metrics are available so that all can see the “state” of housing affordability in the region and local communities
- Community members have a deeper understanding of the impact of housing affordability in their locality and the region.
2025 Regional Housing Summit
Join us in March of 2025 in Charlottesville for a pivotal event focused on addressing the critical issues of housing affordability. Hosted by the Central Virginia Regional Housing Partnership , this summit will bring together a diverse group of stakeholders, including elected officials, local government staff, for-profit developers, realtors, rental management companies, non-profit housing developers, and homelessness service providers.
22-25 Strategic Plan & Final Reports
The 2022-2025 Central Virginia Regional Housing Partnership Strategic Plan serves as the guiding document for the Partnership’s goals and objectives. Its task was to identify current and future environmental, programmatic, and operational opportunities and challenges; review input from community members, key stakeholders, and staff. Its final products will position the Partnership as the definitive resource for affordable housing collaboration, research, and networking in the region.
2022 Annual Report
The 2022 Annual Report outlines all the activities facilitated and conducted by the Partnership. It includes information about the strategic planning process as well as the TJPDC’s housing programming that was supported by the CVRHP. It also lays out goals for the Partnership in 2023.
