The Central Virginia Regional Housing Dashboard provides essential data and policy insights crucial for shaping affordable housing strategies across Charlottesville, Albemarle, Louisa, Greene, Nelson, and Fluvanna counties. This collaborative initiative by the Central Virginia Regional Housing Partnership aims to achieve 100% alignment between housing supply and demand throughout the region. 2025 Regional Housing Summit

Held in March of 2025, the Regional Housing Summit focused on addressing the critical issues of housing affordability. Housing Preservation Grant

Housing Preservation Grant funds are distributed to TJPDC through the United States Department of Agriculture, Rural Development. The Thomas Jefferson HOME Consortium, administered by the Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission, developed the attached CAPER report for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regarding Program Year 2022, from July 1, 2022 – June 30, 2023.The HOME Consortium is made up of all members of the TJPDC, including the City of Charlottesville, and Counties of Albemarle, Greene, Fluvanna, Louisa, and Nelson. PDC Development Grant

Program Background On July 13, 2021, Virginia Housing announced $40 million in grants to Virginia’s 21 Planning District Commissions for the creation of new housing initiatives. The TJPDC was awarded $2 million to help support new affordable housing units in the region.
