The Charlottesville-Albemarle Metropolitan Planning Organization (CA-MPO) Public Engagement Plan outlines how the CA-MPO provides opportunities for participation in the metropolitan transportation planning process. On February 25, 2026, the CA-MPO Policy Board voted to sunset the Citizens Transportation Advisory Committee (CTAC). Revisions are being proposed to the CA-MPO Public Engagement Plan to remove references to CTAC as a formal committee of the CA-MPO. The UPWP provides a mechanism for coordinating transportation planning activities in the Charlottesville-Albemarle Metropolitan Planning Area. The work program for FY27 outlines the Metropolitan Planning Organization staff work schedule for the period between July 1st, 2026, and June 30th, 2027.
