This study produced by the Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission (TJPDC) with an objective of helping the region increase transportation options, reduce fossil fuel emissions, and improve transportation infrastructure by identifying means to improving supports for the use of electric vehicles for area residents. TJPDC Application for USDA Rural Housing Service Funding

The Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission will be applying for FFY21 Funding through USDA Rural Housing Service for the Housing Preservation Grant (HPG). If awarded, the grant will provide funding for emergency repairs, rehabilitation, and home safety modifications for very low-income rural homeowners in Albemarle, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, and Nelson counties. TJPDC’s application is based on $161,595, half of the expected state allocation of $323,190.TJPDC expects to serve 35 very low-income households (estimate of 50 people) with the FFY21 grant if awarded.
