The draft FY 2027 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) is available for review and comment. The UPWP provides a mechanism for coordinating transportation planning activities in the Charlottesville-Albemarle Metropolitan Planning Area. The work program for FY27 outlines the Metropolitan Planning Organization staff work schedule for the period between July 1st, 2026, and June 30th, 2027. The Charlottesville-Albemarle Metropolitan Planning Organization (CA-MPO) is in the process of developing the Fiscal Year 2027–2030 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). The TIP is a federally required document that programs transportation projects receiving federal and state funding within the MPO planning area over a four-year period.
