PATH and Cville Village Expands Collaboration

The Partnership for Accessible Transportation Help (PATH) and Cville Village are expanding their partnership to strengthen support for older adults’ transportation needs in the Charlottesville area.As part of this new arrangement, PATH will assume responsibility for answering phone calls and managing email correspondence from Cville Village members on a full-time basis. The TJPD Commission met on May 1 and addressed the following topics:Ruth Emerick presented on the 2025-26 HOME- CDBG Annual Action Plan draft; following a public hearing, the Commission adopted a resolution approving the plan.Gorjan Gjorgjievski presented the Safe Streets and Roads for All draft plan; the Commission approved a resolution supporting a funding application for a supplemental vulnerable road user safety action plan. TJPDC 2025-2026 AmeriCorps VISTA Position

TJPDC seeks a dedicated AmeriCorps VISTA member to build the capacity of the Central Virginia Regional Housing Partnership (CVRHP). The VISTA will develop tools, resources, and frameworks that enable the organization to more effectively serve low-income populations long after the service term ends. The VISTA member will enhance stakeholder engagement by designing communication toolkits and relationship management guides for CVRHP members. Taylor Jenkins, Director of TransportationTaylor Jenkins joined the TJPDC in January 2025 as Director of Transportation. She holds a Master's Degree in Urban and Regional Planning, a Graduate Certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and a Bachelor's Degree in Black/Women’s Studies, all from Virginia Commonwealth University. Both the HOME Consortium Draft 2025 Annual Action Plan and the Charlottesville-Albemarle MPO Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) are open for public comment.The Thomas Jefferson HOME Consortium is administered by the TJPDC for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and the Annual Action Plan is for Program Year 2025.
