The Thomas Jefferson HOME Consortium invites all interested citizens to comment on the Draft HOME-CDBG Annual Action Plan for Program Year 2024-25. The Plan describes how the participating jurisdiction intends to distribute its HOME and CDBG funding. The draft plan is available at https://tjpdc.org/public-comment-py2024-annual-action-plan/ or by contacting Laurie Jean Talun at 434-422-4080. Public comments will be accepted through May 31st.There will also be a public hearing scheduled for Thursday, June 6, at the TJPDC's Water Street Center, located at 407 East Water St., Charlottesville.

Public Comment Open for New Economic Development Plan

TJPDC is pleased to announce the release of its Comprehensive Economic Development Plan (CEDS) for public review and comment. In accordance with the requirements set forth by the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA), the CEDS will be available for a 30-day statutory review period, commencing on March 27, 2024 and concluding on April 27, 2024.During this period, the TJPDC encourages all residents, businesses, community organizations, and stakeholders to review the proposed plan and provide valuable feedback. April Commission Meeting Updates

The TJPD Commission met on April 4 and received presentations on the following topics: the RideShare CAP Strategic Plan Update; the FY25 CA-MPO Unified Planning Work Program; the Blue Ridge Cigarette Tax Board Update; and the FY25 Operating Budget. The Commission also appointed members to the GO Virginia Region 9 Council and approved the FY25 Rural Transportation Work Program. Materials for all TJPD Commission meetings are available here. 2024 Virginia Eviction Reduction Pilot (VERP) Awarded

TJPDC has been awarded the 2024 Virginia Eviction Reduction Pilot (VERP) funding again. Our partner on the grant, Piedmont Housing Alliance (PHA,) delivers the programming directly to beneficiaries.
