    The Charlottesville-Albemarle Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is accepting comments on the draft Long Range Transportation Plan, Moving Toward 2050.  This is the federally-required long-range transportation plan (LRTP) for the City of Charlottesville and urbanized portions of Albemarle County, which are the area served by the CA-MPO.  This plan, which will be reviewed and adopted by the CA-MPO Policy Board, identifies long range transportation needs, considers possible infrastructure improvements, and establishes priorities to implement projects based on anticipated funding.The draft plan can be viewed here. The public is invited to a public…

    The TJPD Commission met on May 2 and received presentations on the following topics:the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy Plan;2024 Legislative Report; andTJPDC Slate of Officers.The Commission also adopted the CEDS Plan as presented and approved the FY25 Annual Operating Budget and Work Program.Materials for all TJPD Commission meetings are available here.The Commission’s next meeting will be on Thursday, June 6th.

    Home-CDBG Annual Action Plan Open for Public Comment

    The Thomas Jefferson HOME Consortium invites all interested citizens to comment on the Draft HOME-CDBG Annual Action Plan for Program Year 2024-25. The Plan describes how the participating jurisdiction intends to distribute its HOME and CDBG funding. The draft plan is available at https://tjpdc.org/public-comment-py2024-annual-action-plan/ or by contacting Laurie Jean Talun at 434-422-4080. Public comments will be accepted through May 31st.There will also be a public hearing scheduled for Thursday, June 6, at the TJPDC's Water Street Center, located at  407 East Water St., Charlottesville.
