    The TJPD Commission met on July 25 and addressed the following topics:Held a Public Hearing for the Housing Preservation Grant;Passed a Resolution of Support for the Housing Preservation Grant; andAdopted a revised Remote Electronic Participation and Virtual Meeting PolicyMaterials for all TJPD Commission meetings are available here.The Commission will hold their next meeting on Thursday, September 9th.

    2024 Housing Preservation Grant Public Hearing and Comment Open

    A draft Housing Preservation Grant Statement of Activities is currently available for public comment at the TJPDC website (click here).The Thomas Jefferson HOME Consortium, administered by the Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission, has received Housing Preservation Grant funds through USDA Rural Development since 2015. Last year, TJPDC was awarded $215,000 to conduct homeowner rehabilitation projects for low- to extremely low-income households in the eligible areas within the TJPD region.For FFY 2024 funds, TJPDC is applying for $135,796, which is half of the allocation to the state of Virginia.     Move Safely Blue Ridge Seeks Public Input

    TJPDC will host a virtual public meeting on June 20th from 12:00 pm-1:00 pm as part of the Move Safely Blue Ridge initiative.
