    Regional Water Supply Planning for Middle James I

    TJPDC and Buckingham County have adopted resolutions supporting participation in the Middle James 1 Regional Planning Unit, as part of a new statewide Regional Water Supply Planning requirement. TJPDC received a grant award of $8,884 for FY25 administration of the project.

    TJPDC Staff Explore Nelson County

    Staff participated in a field trip to Nelson County on May 6th. Nelson County Administrator, Candy McGarry; Administrative Assistant and Deputy Clerk to the Board, Amanda Spivey; and Director of Planning and Zoning, Dylan Bishop, took us on a tour of the historic Nelson County Courthouse and Circuit Courtroom, and a walking tour of Lovingston. Next, we visited the renovated Nelson Memorial Library and Saunders Brothers Nursery and Farm Market.     PATH Continues Community Engagement

    PATH Engages with Local CommunitiesPATH, a TJPDC mobility management program, recently held a series of Transportation Solutions Workshops. PATH staff visited Jefferson Area Board for Aging (JABA) senior centers in Stanardsville, Esmont, and Lovingston, and also conducted workshops at the Jefferson-Madison Regional Library branches in Mineral and Crozet.In partnership with The Center at Belvedere in Charlottesville, PATH organized additional workshops combined with travel training.     TJPDC 2025-2026 AmeriCorps VISTA Position

    TJPDC seeks a dedicated AmeriCorps VISTA member to build the capacity of the Central Virginia Regional Housing Partnership (CVRHP). The VISTA will develop tools, resources, and frameworks that enable the organization to more effectively serve low-income populations long after the service term ends. The VISTA member will enhance stakeholder engagement by designing communication toolkits and relationship management guides for CVRHP members. To support organizational sustainability, they will create grant calendars, funding databases, event templates, and evaluation tools.
