  • Regional Housing Study Kicks Off

    We’re excited to launch the Regional Housing Study in partnership with the Virginia Center for Housing Research (VCHR) and HousingForward Virginia. This comprehensive effort will include a housing needs assessment, literature review, and future projections to help us better understand housing challenges across the region. The consultants will also work with local officials to develop strategies tailored to each community’s needs and goals. Stay tuned for opportunities to learn more and get involved!

    Regional Water Supply Planning for Middle James I

    TJPDC and Buckingham County have adopted resolutions supporting participation in the Middle James 1 Regional Planning Unit, as part of a new statewide Regional Water Supply Planning requirement. TJPDC received a grant award of $8,884 for FY25 administration of the project.

    TJPDC Staff Explore Nelson County

    Staff participated in a field trip to Nelson County on May 6th. Nelson County Administrator, Candy McGarry; Administrative Assistant and Deputy Clerk to the Board, Amanda Spivey; and Director of Planning and Zoning, Dylan Bishop, took us on a tour of the historic Nelson County Courthouse and Circuit Courtroom, and a walking tour of Lovingston.     PATH and Cville Village Expands Collaboration

    The Partnership for Accessible Transportation Help (PATH) and Cville Village are expanding their partnership to strengthen support for older adults’ transportation needs in the Charlottesville area.As part of this new arrangement, PATH will assume responsibility for answering phone calls and managing email correspondence from Cville Village members on a full-time basis. This milestone highlights the continued growth of Cville Village and reflects PATH’s increasing role in providing accessible transportation and community support.The collaboration goes beyond communications.
