2025 TJPDC Legislative Program Adopted

The 2025 TJPD Legislative Program has been approved by the six local governing bodies in the region. The Program has three top legislative priorities, along with legislative positions in a number of areas of interest to local governments. With input from the region’s local governing bodies, a regional legislative program is developed and approved each year in advance of the upcoming Virginia General Assembly session.The 2025 Program is posted on the TJPDC website.

TJPDC Staff Continue the Learning Adventure

It's been a busy start to FY2025 at TJPDC, with many opportunities for staff professional development. Staff participated in a field trip to Louisa and Fluvanna counties on October 10th. The first half of the day began with Louisa County Administrator, Christian Goodwin, and Economic Development Director, Andy Wade, where we toured Louisa County High School, Lake Anna, and the Zion Crossroads/Springcreek area. PDC Development Grant Awards

The Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission (TJPDC) received Virginia Housing PDC Development Grant funds in FY2022 and awarded funds to several development partners. Earlier in 2024, funds in the amount of $660,000 became available for the award at this last stage of the project. Through an RFP process, we sought submissions from for-profit and non-profit developers for projects that would increase the inventory of affordable housing in the region through the development of new units using these funds.
